TRADE AWARENESS WORKSHOP FOR EMERGING FARMERS ON GRAINS & BEANS
The Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development in conjunction with the National Agricultural Marketing Council (NAMC) hosted a virtual trade awareness webinar on the 13 September 2023. This webinar targeted emerging grains, soya and dry beans producers and traders as well as Farmer Production Support Units (FPSUs), extension officers in the provinces and government officials.
The main aim of the webinar was to raise awareness on all critical aspects of the trade and export value chain for those interested to participate in trade either directly or indirectly. Topics to be covered included the government incentives (funding) and support measures offered to prospective traders, as well as the relevant standards required for trade and exports of grains, soya and dry beans.
