TRADE AWARENESS WEBINAR ON WOOL, MOHAIR AND COTTON EXPORTS HOSTED BY DIRECTORATE INTERNATIONAL TRADE PROMOTIONS & NAMC 2025

The Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development, in conjunction with the National Agricultural Marketing Council (NAMC), hosted a virtual trade awareness workshop on the 20th of February 2025. The target audience was emerging wool, mohair, and cotton producers or traders, as well as Farmer Production Support Units and extension officers.

The main aim of the webinar was to raise awareness about all critical aspects of the exporter value chain for those interested in participating in exports, either directly or indirectly.

Topics covered included the government incentives and support measures offered to prospective exporters, as well as the relevant standards required for the export of cotton, wool, and mohair products.
