Ms Mina Magdaleen Gill

Since 2013 Ms Gill continued to serve as the ministerial trustee for the National Lucerne Trust, she is also a former NAMC Council member. Ms Gill has been a vegetable farmer since 2006 and later expanded to farming with ostriches where she supplies directly to the ostrich abattoir. Ms Gill has a comprehensive knowledge of the lucerne industry, in particular the lucerne hay industry, as well as the production and marketing of lucerne products by small-holder and previously disadvantage farmers. She played a noticeable role in the transformation project of the NLT, the Taung project, which supports 40 smallholder lucerne farmers of 400 hectares in total. She is expert in her field and clearly understands Government policies, more specifically relating to transformation within the lucerne industry.
