Dr Hilda Lefophane has been appointed a Ministerial Trustee and Chairperson of the Citrus Industry Trust (CIT).

Dr Hildah Lefophane is a Senior Lecturer in Agricultural Economics at the University of Limpopo. She holds a PhD degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Pretoria.

Her area of research includes economic analysis of digital technologies and e-digital innovation, and food and agricultural policy analysis.

She is a member of various professional associations, including the Agricultural Economics Association of South Africa (AEASA), African Association of Agricultural Economists (AAAE) and International Food and Agribusiness Management Association (IFAMA).

She is currently serving in oversight structures of both the higher education and agricultural sectors as a Council Member (Ministerial Representative) of the Orbit TVET College Council, Ministerial Trustee and Chairperson of the Citrus Industry Trust and Deputy Chairperson of the Citrus Academy.
