On 2 June 2022, the NAMC’s Markets and Economic Research Centre hosted a workshop seminar on Cassava. The purpose of the seminar was to provide a status update on the progress of the Cassava project.

As we countdown to the end of 2021, the NAMC reflects on its contribution to its core mandate of providing marketing advisory services to the Minister and the sector stakeholders. The NAMC played an instrumental technical role in assessing the impact of the July unrest to the economy and food systems.

On 31 March 2022, the South African Wine Industry Transformation Unit (SAWITU) invited a cohort of government delegation to meet black wine brands to discuss solutions of increasing brand visibility in local markets.
